As the rain pours down.....
Well, I do live in Scotland so shouldn't be too surprised....... but I do feel that the weather this year is unusually......well, WET!
Rainfall totals vary enormously across Scotland with the western highlands being one of the wettest places in Europe with an average annual rainfall of 4577mm. The east coast tends to be much drier with some parts receiving only 550mm of rain - putting it on a par with Morocco, Sydney and Barcelona.
Does that make me feel better? I believe that weather influences mood - not that I have any specific evidence - but I feel less motivated when the skies are grey and ominous. And sometimes I feel as if I have my own personal rain-cloud following me around.
